Health & Safety Policy Statement

Our commitment to safe working on every job.

Version 1.0 · Last updated 9 October 2026

Statement of intent

MCHS is committed to preventing harm to customers, clients, the public and the contractors who work with us, and to meeting the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and related regulations.

How we manage risk

Risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for higher-risk work; COSHH controls for hazardous substances; working-at-height, lone-working and manual-handling controls; site inductions where required; and asbestos awareness — work stops if suspected asbestos is found.

Contractors

Every contractor is vetted, insured and must accept only work they are competent to do. Regulated work is only assigned to operatives holding the required registration.

Reporting

All accidents, near misses and concerns are reported through the app and reviewed. MCHS has recorded no RIDDOR-reportable incidents and has had no enforcement action or prosecution.
