1. Who you're dealing with
Your contract is with M.Campbell's Handyman Services ("MCHS", "we", "us"), a UK sole trader providing property maintenance and reactive repairs through vetted self-employed subcontractors. Contact: marviscampbell@yahoo.com.
2. Prices
Where the job is clearly defined we give a fixed price. Where there are genuine unknowns we give a price range and explain what affects it. Where the fault is unknown, we charge a £65 diagnostic visit to find the cause and give you a price before any repair.
We will never carry out extra work beyond what you agreed without your approval first.
3. Your booking
Your booking is confirmed when we send a confirmation with the appointment window. Please make sure someone over 18 is present, or that access arrangements are agreed, and tell us about pets, parking or hazards.
4. Cancellation
You have 14 days to cancel a booking made online or by phone. If you ask us to start within those 14 days, you agree we may do so and you'll pay for any work already done.
You can cancel or rearrange free of charge up to 24 hours before your appointment. If you cancel after the contractor has set off, or they can't get access, a call-out charge of up to £65 may apply.
5. Payment
Payment is due on completion unless agreed otherwise. You'll receive an invoice and can pay securely by card through our payment provider Stripe or by bank transfer.
6. Guarantee
Our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months. If something we did isn't right, tell us and we'll come back to put it right free of charge. Parts carry the manufacturer's warranty. The guarantee doesn't cover wear and tear, misuse or pre-existing faults we reported to you.
7. Your rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Work will be carried out with reasonable care and skill.
8. Complaints
If you're unhappy, contact us at marviscampbell@yahoo.com. See our Complaints Policy for how we handle it.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
