M.Campbell's Handyman Services ("MCHS", "we", "us") is a UK sole trader providing property maintenance and reactive repair services through vetted self-employed contractors. This policy covers our website at mchsgroup.co.uk and the MCHS Contractor, MCHS Customer, MCHS Facilities and MCHS Control Centre apps.
We are the data controller for personal data processed through these services. Contact: marviscampbell@yahoo.com.
Account details: name, email address, phone number and password (stored securely, never in plain text).
Contractor details: trade skills, work areas, compliance documents (ID, insurance, certificates) and payout setup. Bank details are entered directly with our payment provider Stripe; MCHS does not see or store bank account numbers.
Job information: addresses, job descriptions, notes, materials, completion photos and reports.
Location: when a contractor taps Start Travel, we use the device's location to estimate arrival time for the customer. Location is not tracked in the background.
Payments: customer card payments are processed by Stripe. We receive payment confirmations, not full card numbers.
Device alerts: if you turn on alerts, we store a notification token for your device.
To provide and manage repair jobs, match work to suitable compliant contractors, send booking updates and arrival times, produce reports and invoices, take payments, pay contractors, meet legal, tax and insurance obligations, and keep our services secure.
Our lawful bases are performance of a contract, legal obligation and our legitimate interest in running a safe, reliable service.
Only with those needed to deliver the service: the assigned contractor (limited job details only — customer contact details are kept by our office), our hosting and database providers, Stripe for payments and payouts, and authorities where required by law. We never sell personal data and our apps contain no advertising.
Job, invoice and payment records are kept for at least six years to meet UK tax requirements. Other account data is kept while your account is active and deleted or anonymised afterwards.
All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access is restricted by role so each person sees only what they need.
Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data, and object to or restrict its use. To delete your account and associated data, email marviscampbell@yahoo.com from your registered email address; we will respond within 30 days. Records we must keep by law are retained only for that purpose.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Our apps are intended for adults aged 18 and over and are not directed at children.
We may update this policy and will show the latest date at the top of this page.
